From the Field

Field Notes.

July 2026

Eyes That Hold You

A chimpanzee looking straight down the lens is not a subject you forget. There is a recognition there — something ancient and shared. You hold your breath, press the shutter, and hope the image carries even a fraction of what that moment held.

The Quiet Before Dawn

The best light is always the light you almost missed. Standing in the dark, waiting for the forest to wake, is where the real work happens. The photographs are just what you bring back.

Patience as a Lens

Wildlife does not perform on cue. It reveals itself only to those willing to stay. Hours dissolve into minutes, and then — without warning — everything aligns for a single, irreplaceable frame.

Conservation

Every Story Has the Power to Protect.

Photography is only the beginning. Every print sold, every story told and every moment spent in the field feeds a larger mission — to protect the wild places and the remarkable species that call them home.

All proceeds from print sales go directly to the Dying To Live Conservation Trust, supporting habitat restoration, biodiversity recovery and wildlife education for the next generation.
